Transformers prime Dreadwing's Ship

Here's some of the development that took place when this ship had to be created. They wanted to use the base from another 3d model and modify it.  As you can see, i pushed it REALLY far. I had a little bit of time too, so i painted them in mock scenes from the show.

Another alien head from Transformers episode 112.  This was all that was provided for the cg studio this time for the scene.  A rough side view and textural ref was all that was needed.

Episode 112 of Transformers Prime

Here's one of the alien heads that I designed for s space craft.  It's a bit of the process along with it. The first stage was done in black and white, second was colored, third I included color variations and the last stage was texturing. Much more work to come.

Optimus Prime Orthographic

Please don't mind my terrible graphics on the title block. Here was the first bot ortho that got completed. As you'll see in all the other drawings, with a lack of time no other bot got a color rough pass. .....until the cg studio requested it. Production was pretty hectic after the first couple of characters were completed. Hope you guys like. More to come weekly!

Bumblebee attacked by scraplets

Every episode some bot gets hurt, so we often have to design the damage for the 3d models.   So.... this is what a bot looks like when a Scraplet eats through his hand and leg.

Transformers Prime Bumblebee orthographic design

Here's the drawing that I completed with artist Christie Tseng.  This is the starting point for the 3d modelers to block in the geometry. We tried our best to accommodate for moving parts and to avoid collisions, but ultimately that's in the hands of the cg artists.   I'd have to say they did a great job

Transformers Prime orthographic view for Trooper bots.

Here's the orthographic view I created for the 3d modelers at Polygon (http://www.ppi.co.jp/).  In which I'm sure they had to reconfigure and make appropriate adjustments for more dynamic and functional animation.
